KYDO (ใญใ) originated from the Japanese
word for candle (ใญใฃใณใใซ or kyandoru)
KYDO started as an idea between the co-founders Kevin and Nicole in June โ22. After being in the fast-paced food industry for 5 years, they wanted to incorporate familiar scents into the form of a candle. Growing up in the SGV (in the 626 area of LA where boba first originated in the U.S.) they were inspired by all-Asian flavors. By December of that year, KYDO was born.

We individually hand-pour our KYDOs in micro-batches. Due to the natural properties of soy wax, its appearance may crystallize and change over time; however, performance is never compromised. We use pure soy as it has the lengthiest duration for burn time. Our 8.8 oz candles burn for 50+ hours.

Using paraffin-free pure soy wax is a clean and renewable resource that is locally sourced. Paraffin is toxic and can be found in majority of candles. It is derived from petroleum, coal, or shale oil, which has been found to contain carcinogens. At KYDO, we make your health our priority.

Each candle is curated with phthalate- and toxin-free fragrance oils. Phthalate is toxic and can be found in a majority of candles. It is an endocrine-disrupting chemical that is detrimental to the reproductive, neurological, and developmental systems. At KYDO, we make our ingredients safe for children and pets.

We package each KYDO in an optional recyclable giftbox, water-soluble packing peanuts, and recyclable tissue paper. Each tin is repurposable and can be used to your heartโs desire.
KYDO care
Open the lid like a paint can. When done, cover the candle to maximize scent longevity + keep dust away.
Trim the wooden wick to ยผ inch with a trimmer or pinch off the burnt bits of wood to prevent soot.
Burn for a max of 4 hours at a time or where is a ยฝ inch deep pool. Use a snuffer or blow out the flame.
Allow the first burn to reach a full melt pool to leave a smooth finish. Keep away from flammable items.
